Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service to our clients when delivering our dairy products.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers.
- Safely operate a 5-ton delivery truck while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and safely handle dairy products.
- Verify orders and delivery documentation for accuracy.
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or delivery sites as needed some merchandising may be required for some customers.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and safety documentation
- Follow company food safety, transportation and safe-work procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating a 5-ton truck with hydraulic brakes
- Previous commercial delivery experience preferred.
- Comfortable completing multiple deliveries through the Lower Mainland.
- Able to safely perform the physical requirements of a delivery position, inlcuding loading and unloading product.
- Solid customer service and communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently
- Good knowledge of Lower Mainland roads and communities
- Commitment to safe driving and workplace safety.
