Are you interested in being a key resource in supporting the administration of staff housing in Nunavut? Reporting to the Property Management Officer, the Accommodations Clerk supports the day-to-day administration of the Government of Nunavut’s Staff Housing portfolio. The position works with tenants, landlords, Local Housing Organizations, and Government of Nunavut departments to coordinate housing allocations, maintain accurate information, and support housing-related needs across the district.

Main Responsibilities For The Accommodations Clerk Include

- Assist with the administration and allocation of GN Staff Housing units in the district.
- Maintain accurate tenant data, property inventories, records, and documentation.
- Provide reporting and administrative support for the Staff Housing portfolio.
- Coordinate with LHOs, landlords, tenants, and GN departments on housing matters.
- Assist with maintenance management, work orders, and tenant housing concerns.
- Support the Staff Housing Allocation Committee and contribute to the effective administration and operation of the district team.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are usually obtained through completion of High School with additional coursework in computer software and general administrative courses. In addition, two (2)



years of demonstrated experience in a secretarial or administrative position is required. This is a Position of Trust, and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.

The Official Languages of Nunavut are Inuktut, English and French. Applicants may submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut. Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land,Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural workplace are also considered assets.

Acceptable combinations of education and experience may be considered for this position. We encourage you to apply if you have equivalent years of education and/or experience equal to the education and experience requirements listed above.
