Accounting Manager will be responsible for financial statements, journal entries, asset management, and overseeing the accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare and review financial statements (on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis)
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes and reports accordingly
- Partners and coordinates with external auditors and support audit activities
- Supervise and mentor accounting employees
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Skills
- Possess 3-5 years’ prior similar accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Products, including Outlook, Excel and Word and other tools used to analyze large volumes of data
- Knowledge of Fixed Assets management
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
- CPA designation or equivalent certification is a requirement and will be considered a robust asset
- Expertise using various accounting software’s (knowledge of NetSuite preferred)
