Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the company’s outgoing payments, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support overall financial operations. Your expertise in accounting software and data entry will help maintain smooth financial processes and foster strong vendor relationships.
Duties
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices to ensure they match purchase orders and receipts, avoiding duplicate or unauthorized payments.
- Vendor management: This involves maintaining up-to-date vendor profiles, handling contact information and resolving payment-related disputes efficiently. Strengthening vendor relationships to ensure smoother transactions and enhance credibility.
- Expense report management: Reviewing and processing employee expense reports to ensure alignment with company policies. Ensure that there’s proper oversight to prevent misuse and maintain accountability.
- Payment Management:
Schedule and execute payments through checks, ACH, or wire transfers and ensure that all payments are made within agreed time frames to maintain vendor trust.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable reports and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Generate accounts payable summaries and cash flow reports to assist management in budgeting, financial planning and aids in year-end financial processes.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding payments and financial transactions. Also, ensuring all account payable reports and processes adhere to internal controls, tax laws, and legal requirements to minimizes risks and maintaining accurate records for financial review.
- And all other responsibilities necessary to the job as the accounts payable.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and reporting
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
