Overview: The Advanced CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setup and operating and tending to metal-cutting CNC machinery designed for non-repetitive machining work as assigned by Production Management. The necessary skill sets required for this position include mechanical aptitude, change out of tools, setup of tools, CAD/CAM software experience, completing G/M code programming, ability to read blue prints, able to measure using a Vernier Calipers & Comparator.
- Set up tooling and operate CNC machining centers to complete production parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine sequence of machining operations and confirm measurements on parts.
- Perform QC inspections to complete first offs.
- Maintain dimensions & accuracy when setting up & laying out work pieces in machines.
- Confirm specification of parts conform to drawings using Vernier Calipers,
Micrometers and other precision measuring instruments as needed.
- Setup, maintain, program and operate any of our CNC milling machines to perform precision, non-repetitive operations such as milling, boring, drilling, facing, etc.
- Optimize programs to reduce cycle time and setup times.
- Confirm part performance meets Engineering specifications.
- Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
