The Apprentice
Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop essential skills while contributing to various construction and maintenance projects. Candidates should have a strong interest in mechanical systems and a willingness to learn technical skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively for assembly and repair tasks
- Perform basic math calculations to measure materials and ensure proper fitting of components
- Support the installation of piping, fixtures, and related plumbing components according to specifications
- Participate in site preparation, including carpentry work or minor construction tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during project execution
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with mechanical knowledge, carpentry, HVAC systems, or construction is advantageous but not required
- Basic understanding of plumbing principles is preferred but training will be provided
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, welding, or assembly work is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning technical concepts related to plumbing systems
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to plumbing projects
