Assistant Project Manager – Ground-Up ICI Construction

Location: Greater Toronto Area

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 + Benefits

Our client, an established general contractor, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of ground-up Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional construction projects.

Responsibilities

- Support the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction.
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost tracking.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Prepare project documentation, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Monitor project milestones and help resolve scheduling or coordination issues.
- Assist with contract administration, closeout documentation, and deficiency management.




- Ensure project activities meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience within the Canadian construction industry.
- Experience supporting ground-up ICI construction projects.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, documentation, and project coordination.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
