We are seeking an experienced Flat Rate Automotive Technician to join our team. As a Lead Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a full-time position at our shop.
The main responsibilities for this position are to complete Level 1 and Level 2 tasks such as external drivetrain parts, suspension brakes, inspections and work orders. Diagnostic and electrical experience is an asset not required for this position. However, we are also open to hiring any experience level if willingness to learn and grow is present.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks. Checking fluids and filters, highlighting any minor/major issues.
- Repair vehicle issues using the appropriate tools and equipment
- Complete necessary repairs efficiently and accurately
- Communicate with team members and occasional customers
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop
Skills:
Strong mechanical knowledge and skills - Ability to use power tools and other automotive equipment effectively - Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals - Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks - Experience working in a dealership/mechanic shop setting is preferred but not required.
