About the Role

Our client is seeking motivated individuals to join as Apprentice Painters and Decorators in Kimberley . This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the trade of painting and decorating, from surface preparation to the final finish. You will work alongside experienced professionals on various projects across the Northern Cape , gaining practical skills in residential and commercial settings. Our client is dedicated to providing comprehensive training, ensuring apprentices develop the technical expertise and safety knowledge required to excel in this field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist journeyman painters with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, and priming.
- Learn to apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Safely set up and use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment.
- Mix paints and match colors according to specifications.




- Maintain tools and equipment, keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines on site.

Requirements

- Must be 18 years or older with a valid South African ID.
- A genuine interest in the painting and decorating trade .
- Good physical condition, with the ability to stand for long periods and work at heights.
- Manual dexterity and a good eye for detail and color.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a solid work ethic.
