We are looking for an experienced Automotive Restoration Mechanic who combines traditional mechanical expertise with creative custom problem-solving.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Automotive Restoration / Performance Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for mechanically restoring classic vehicles, performing modifications, and ensuring each car meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate possesses deep mechanical knowledge of classic and custom vehicles, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to craftsmanship over high-volume turnarounds.

Duties
- Perform repairs, restorations, and modifications on vintage and performance vehicles, ensuring precision and quality at every step
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move parts and assemblies safely and efficiently
- Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive repair knowledge and provided schematic diagrams and diagnostic tools
- Assemble vehicle parts following detailed instructions and schematics to restore or upgrade vehicle performance
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostics for each project
Qualifications
- 3-4 years apprenticeship completed, or fully licensed technician
- Proven mechanic experience. A focus on automotive restoration or performance upgrades is preferred, but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical components
- Skill in welding techniques for custom fabrication and structural repairs is preferred, but not required
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes relevant to automotive work
- Knowledge of automotive schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical problems
- Experience in vehicle maintenance routines and troubleshooting automotive issues effectively
