We are a busy, well-established independent repair shop near Brentwood, servicing all makes and models with particular experience in European vehicles. The Position

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who can build trust with customers and keep work moving smoothly between the front counter and the shop. You will guide each customer from vehicle check-in through estimate approval, repair updates and final delivery.

Compensation and Schedule

- $28–$32 per hour, based on relevant experience
- Performance bonus and commission opportunities
- Target total earnings of approximately $65,000–$80,000 per year, depending on performance
- Full-time, permanent position with 40 expected hours per week
- Five shifts per week between Monday and Saturday; Saturday availability is required

What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers and accurately document their vehicle concerns
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily service calendar
- Prepare repair orders, estimates and invoices
- Clearly explain inspection results, repair options, costs and timelines
- Obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed
- Communicate regularly with technicians and monitor job progress
- Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
- Recommend required maintenance and repairs in an honest, customer-focused manner
- Source and order parts when required
- Process payments and maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
- Follow up with customers and resolve concerns professionally

What We’re Looking For
- At least two years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer or in a similar automotive position
- Good understanding of automotive maintenance and repair processes
- Excellent spoken and written English communication
- Strong customer service, sales and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical information in clear, easy language
- Organized and comfortable managing several repair orders at once
- Experience with computerized shop-management or work-order software; Mitchell 1 experience is an asset
- Parts sourcing and ordering experience is an asset
- Valid BC driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working in a busy independent shop
