Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks across long-haul routes throughout Canada and the USA, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, freight documentation, and inspection reports to ensure seamless communication and compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to plan optimal routes,
manage schedules, and address any logistical challenges promptly
- Operate forklifts to load or unload freight at warehouses or distribution centers safely and efficiently
Experience
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial trucking across North America
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts with certification preferred
- Experience handling freight, including securing loads for long-distance travel across diverse terrains
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on the road
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and transportation regulations
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, dispatchers, and clients effectively
