Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks equipped for freight transportation across designated routes and delivery points
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, identifying maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during every shift
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid AZ license or equivalent certification
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used in freight handling
- Knowledge of freight logistics, shipping procedures, and cargo securement techniques
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics to identify mechanical issues early and coordinate repairs
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
