Role Overview

We are looking for skilled Python Backend Engineers to build and scale high-performance backend systems. The role will focus on API development, platform engineering, and system design while supporting enterprise-grade, scalable, secure financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
- Build and manage RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Contribute to platform engineering initiatives focused on reliability and scalability.
- Lead and participate in system design discussions for distributed systems.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Optimize backend services for performance, security, and observability.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Strong experience with Python backend development.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs, JSON, and OpenAPI.
- Solid system design experience, including scalability, fault tolerance, and performance.
- Experience with platform engineering or building shared backend platforms.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a Canadian university or college.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Financial services or fintech experience.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience.
- Exposure to security, compliance, and high-availability systems.
