Strathcona Excavating Inc. is a professional contractor that specializes in the repair and installation of water and wastewater infrastructure.

We are hiring for the following positions:

Backhoe Operator

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Backhoe Operator
- Experience must include working on residential underground utility projects
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help in other areas when not operating equipment.
- Ability to operate equipment in a secure manner.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

- Read and interpret ground markings and locate tickets.
- Dig trenches to proper grade and depth.
- Experience working with shoring.
- Ability to load and secure equipment for transport to and from site.

Labourers

- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- Must be physically fit

Required for all positions





- Preference given to those with residential water and sewer experience.

- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be physically fit.
- Safety certifications pertaining to position, or the ability to obtain such.

Additional Requirements

- CSA approved steel toed boots.
- These positions often require overtime.
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and required courses
- Positions noted may require additional responsibilities not listed above.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
