Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team. This role involves supporting daily bakery operations, assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine - and artisanal baking, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety and product quality.

Bakery or food service experience is preferred but not required. We value a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing baked goods and other food items according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time efficiently to ensure timely food preparation and service during busy periods
- Support the team with food handling tasks, including packaging, labeling, and stocking supplies
- Ensure all food industry safety standards are followed
- Plan and perform preparation of doughs, fillings, and baked goods
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
- Load and unload ovens under supervision
- Package and label, baked products
- Follow food safety,



hygiene, and health regulations
- Occasional help in our Cafe as a Cafe attendant
- Occasional work in sales on farmers markets

Experience

- Previous experience in, food service, or food preparation is a plus, training will be provided
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills

Requirements:

- Any level of culinary (bakery) education or baking experience is an asset
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 45 lbs
- Basic math and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Food safety certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Willing to work early shifts and/or Night shifts
