Renaissance by the Creek is seeking experienced, professional banquet bartenders to join our event team. The successful candidates will provide efficient and friendly beverage service at weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.

This role is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced banquet setting, communicates professionally with guests and understands responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

- Set up and organize the bar before each event
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages
- Verify identification and follow all Smart Serve and liquor-service requirements
- Monitor guests and serve alcohol responsibly
- Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar
- Replenish beverages, ice, glassware and supplies throughout the event
- Accurately handle cash and card payments during cash-bar events
- Track beverage usage and report shortages or concerns
- Work closely with banquet captains, servers, kitchen staff and management
- Assist with bar breakdown, inventory and cleanup after events
- Provide courteous and professional guest service at all times

Requirements
- Valid Ontario Smart Serve certification




- Minimum five years of professional bartending experience preferred
- Previous banquet hall, hotel, wedding or high-volume event experience required
- Strong knowledge of standard mixed drinks, wine, beer and bar service
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and professionally presented
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the venue
