The Fergus Legion Branch 275 immediately requires a sociable and reliable part-time bar steward to serve our veterans, members and guests. Operating out of our Club Room and supporting events at our Riverside Events Centre, you will provide friendly service in our welcoming, community-centric environment.

Key responsibilities include: strict adherence to AGCO regulations and requirements; greeting Legion members and guests verifying valid membership or registry; mixing and efficiently serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; operating the point-of sale cash system on site and managing daily floats; maintaining a clean, well organized and fully stocked bar and lounge area; assisting with the preparing at opening and the clearing at closing duties associated with our Club Room and Riverside Event Centre engagements.

Requirements:



valid Smart Serve certification; excellent interpersonal skills with a respectful, welcoming attitude towards our members and community guests; able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 15 kg.; flexible availability including weekdays and evenings as well as weekends on a rotational basis. Previous experience in the service industry an asset but not essential; willing to train the best suited candidate.
