- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (4 hours)
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (4 hours)

About the Role Palgong Tea at UofT Scarborough is looking for 2 energetic team members to join us! If you love bubble tea and enjoy greeting customers with a bright smile, we would love to hear from you. As a barista, you will play a key role in making and serving high-quality drinks while creating a welcoming store environment. We are looking for candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, prepare beverages efficiently, and assist with light food prep (no cooking involved).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to recipes and store standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through friendly greetings, accurate order-taking, and helpful communication.
- Operate the POS system for accurate transaction processing and cash management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in beverage/food preparation areas and equipment.
- Handle light food preparation while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Manage time efficiently to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service quality.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in food & beverage or as a barista is preferred (Beginners are welcome).
- Strong time management skills to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic arithmetic skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus (Training will be provided).
- Versatile availability for morning or afternoon shifts.
