Role Description The Boeing 737 First Officer is a full-time hybrid role based in Calgary, AB, with primary flight duties originating from Calgary and some administrative or training tasks that may be completed from home.

The First

Officer supports the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of Boeing 737 flights, including pre-flight planning, conducting aircraft inspections, reviewing weather and NOTAMs, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include operating the aircraft in accordance with SOPs, monitoring systems and performance, communicating with air traffic control, and supporting high-quality customer service and on-time performance.

The First

Officer participates in recurrent training, simulator sessions,



and safety programs, and collaborates with flight operations, maintenance, and ground teams to maintain safety, reliability, and professional standards.

Qualifications

- Commercial aviation skills, including a valid Commercial Pilot Licence with multi-engine and Instrument Rating, and experience in turbine or jet operations.
- Operational and safety skills, such as strong knowledge of aviation regulations, SOP adherence, crew resource management, and risk assessment.
- Technical flight skills, including proficiency with modern avionics, navigation systems, flight planning tools, and performance calculations.
- Communication and teamwork skills, including clear radio communication, effective collaboration within a multi-crew cockpit, and qualified interaction with ground and cabin teams.
- Customer service and cultural awareness skills, demonstrating respect for diverse communities, including Northern and Indigenous communities, and a focus on safe, considerate passenger service.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to perform flight and in-person duties in Calgary, AB, and some administrative or training activities from home.
- Relevant experience on Boeing 737 or similar transport-category aircraft, and completion of required medical certification and background checks.
- Strong problem-solving, situational awareness, and decision-making abilities under varying operational and weather conditions.
