Peak Power Rentals

Job Overview
Peak Power Rentals is a heavy equipment rental company serving Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, with a growing concrete division alongside it. We rent out excavators, compaction equipment, lifts, light towers, and more to contractors and job sites across the region, and we're also an authorized Multiquip dealer selling new equipment and retired fleet units. We started in early 2026 and are growing fast — this is a small, hands-on team where your work is directly visible.
We're looking for a Bookkeeper who moves the same way we do — proactive, not reactive. This isn't a role where you wait to be told what to do; we need someone who spots the problem before it's a problem and handles it. You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records accurate and current, from AP/AR and bank reconciliations to payroll and monthly reporting, working directly with our accounting lead.
Responsibilities
- Keep our financial spreadsheets and operating models up to date
- Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks
- Process and track accounts payable across our vendor network — equipment dealers, suppliers, and service providers
- Manage outgoing payments (e-transfers, wires, card payments) within daily/monthly limits and approval workflows
- Track and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations
- Support billing reconciliation on our rental management platform (Quipli)
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Prepare summaries for weekly budget and ownership meetings
Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience — AP/AR, reconciliations, QuickBooks
- Payroll processing experience
- Proactive, not reactive — you catch things before anyone has to ask
- Sharp with numbers, obsessive about accuracy
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with real ownership, not a lot of hand-holding
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a long-term, full-time basis
Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to maintaining accurate financial operations that support our organization’s growth! Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
