OverviewTotal Group of Companies is looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team of fire and life safety professionals.This role is focused on delivering inspections, troubleshooting, service, repairs, and upgrades on new and existing fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will work under the direction of our Senior Fire Alarm Technician while supporting clients across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.For the right candidate, Total Group is open to offering a relocation package.What You’ll DoDaily tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Inspect, service, and troubleshoot existing fire alarm systemsPerform upgrades, repairs, additions, and system improvements following inspectionsRespond to service calls as requiredIdentify fire code compliance solutionsPrepare detailed inspection, verification, and deficiency reportsMaintain company equipment, tools, and vehiclesPerform scheduled inspections to support safety and compliance requirementsCommunicate professionally with clients, contractors, authorities, and internal team membersParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule as requiredWhat We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will be:Detail-oriented and organizedSafety-drivenWilling to learn and grow within the roleAble to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional with robust communication skillsPositive, dependable, and solutions-focusedTo be considered for this role,



candidates must meet the following requirements:Legally authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SINValid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experienceAbility to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstractWillingness to travel as requiredAvailability to work after hours and weekends as neededWillingness to participate in a rotating on-call scheduleAbility to obtain and maintain standard oilfield and safety training tickets as required for the roleRequired Experience And CertificationsTo be selected for this role, candidates must have:Minimum 1 year of experience in a related roleCFAA Certification or Journeyman Electrician statusKnowledge of CAN/ULC standards as they apply to fire alarm systemsExperience programming fire alarm panelsAbility to read and understand design drawingsStrong technical skills and working knowledge of fire alarm system design and constructionDemonstrated ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients, authorities, and contractorsWhy Join Total Group?At Total Group of Companies, we are committed to providing professional fire and life safety services across Canada.
