Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of cabling systems, including telecommunications, Ethernet networks, CCTV, and data center infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and reliable communication services for our clients.

Responsibilities

- Install, test, and troubleshoot various cabling systems such as Ethernet, telecommunication lines, CCTV cameras, and VoIP networks.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment to ensure proper cable connections and system functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including installation logs, troubleshooting reports, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to integrate cabling infrastructure into existing data centers or network environments.
- Conduct routine inspections of cabling systems to identify potential issues before they impact operations.




- Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure safe working conditions during all installation and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, VLANs, and network protocols.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, security cameras, and surveillance technology.
- Skilled in using hand tools like crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and testers for cable installation.
- Understanding of telecommunication systems including VoIP solutions like Avaya or Cisco routers.
- Experience working with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of data center environments and related infrastructure components.
- Experience with networking equipment such as Juniper or Cisco routers; familiarity with Ethernet switches is a plus.
- Electrical experience including grounding, power supplies, and safety procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to telecommunication systems or network connectivity efficiently.
