Job Title Senior UI Engineer – Sledgehammer Games Requisition ID R Job Description Sledgehammer Games is looking for talented developers to join our Toronto team. You will partner with global teams in Toronto and Melbourne to create epic content for AAA games. Your Mission As a Senior UI Engineer you will actively code and engineer UI screens for various aspects of the game. You should have practical knowledge of LUA scripting and implementation into the game engine. You need a strong background in engineering human graphical interfaces and user experience for console games. Responsibilities Develop, modify, and debug UI software in script and C/C++. Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize, and test UI software on PC and console platforms. Work closely with UX Designers, UI Artists, UI Technical Designers, and other Engineers to create an exceptional overall user experience. Collaborate with internal departments (art, design, audio, QA). Co‑develop and collaborate with other studios. Document software and features for internal and external engineering teams. Participate in scheduling, design, performance, and code review processes. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math related field. Shipped at least one game title. 5+ years of experience in the game industry. Strong knowledge of C/C++, data structures, performance, and multi‑threaded programming. Experience with scripting languages (LUA, C#, Python, etc.).



Demonstrated ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate, and support other team members. Comprehensive understanding of object‑oriented programming. Creative, motivated, focused, and passionate. Ability to write efficient, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code. Passion for games. Extra Points Interest in UX design. Background in LUA programming. Benefits The standard base pay range for this role is $147,000–$194,000 CAD. This represents the expected annualized base salary for new hires in this position and for the Ontario location listed, in accordance with the Ontario Pay Transparency Act. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, performance, and work location.
