They are seeking a hands‑on Production Maintenance Mechanic to support equipment reliability, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and help keep production running safely and efficiently. This unionized opportunity offers wage progression, overtime opportunities, and long‑term stability within a large‑scale manufacturing operation.Who This Role Is ForEnjoys troubleshooting equipment and solving mechanical problemsHas experience working around production machinery or automated equipmentTakes pride in preventative maintenance and keeping equipment runningWorks well in a fast‑paced manufacturing environmentCan remain calm and focused when production issues ariseThis opportunity may be a fit for candidates with experience as a Production Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Equipment Mechanic, or Production Maintenance Technician.What You Will Be DoingTroubleshoot mechanical issues on automated production equipmentRespond to machine downtime and support timely repairsPerform preventative maintenance (PM) and routine equipment servicingReplace worn or damaged mechanical componentsComplete equipment inspections and identify potential issues before failures occurRead machine fault messages and assist with root‑cause troubleshootingSupport machine changeovers, adjustments, and mechanical setup activitiesWork closely with operators, supervisors,
and maintenance personnel to support production goalsMaintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with GMP standardsWhat We’re Looking ForMechanical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, packaging, food, pharmaceutical, consumer products, production, assembly, or related environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilityExperience using hand tools, calipers, gauges, wrenches, and common maintenance equipmentAbility to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, manuals, or equipment documentationComfortable working around large automated machineryAbility to work rotating continental shifts (days and nights)Strong sense of urgency and ownership when responding to equipment issuesNice to HaveProduction maintenance experienceFood, pharmaceutical, packaging, or GMP manufacturing experienceExperience with preventative maintenance programsExperience supporting automated production equipmentMechanical apprenticeship or related trade backgroundWhat’s In It For YouStarting wage of $26.71/hour with progression to $33.83/hour after 12 monthsUnionized position with wage progressionEmployer‑paid health and dental benefits after probationVision coverageRRSP matching programOvertime opportunitiesStable, long‑term manufacturing environmentOpportunity to work with large‑scale automated production equipmentWork EnvironmentRotating continental schedule consisting of day and night shiftsGMP manufacturing environmentPPE requiredHot, humid, and fast‑paced production settingTeam‑oriented maintenance and production support environmentAbility to work on your feet and around active production equipmentLocationWindsor, ON N8T 3H5 – reliable commute or intent to relocate before starting work is preferred.
