LD&A; is looking for a Carpenter Apprentice with residential renovation experience to join our construction team.
We work on high-quality residential renovations throughout Calgary and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong understanding of construction, and wants to continue developing their carpentry skills.
Formal apprenticeship training or carpentry schooling is an asset, but hands-on renovation experience is most important to us.
What You'll Do
- General residential carpentry including framing, backing, doors, trim and finishing details
- Demolition, site preparation and protection
- Read and work from construction drawings and plans
- Assist with cabinetry, millwork and finishing installations
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Work alongside site leads, carpenters and other trades
- Maintain clean, organized and professional job sites
- Help troubleshoot the unique conditions that come with renovation work
What We're Looking For
- Previous residential renovation experience
- Carpentry or general construction experience
- Registered apprenticeship or carpentry schooling is an asset
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, organized and able to work well as part of a team
- Professional and respectful when working in clients' homes
- Valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle are required — you must be able to travel between project sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
Experience with higher-end residential renovations and finishing carpentry is a definite asset. Work Location: In person – Calgary and surrounding area
Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
