Dream World Exteriors Ltd. is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our exterior construction and finishing team. The successful candidate will perform carpentry and exterior finishing work on residential and commercial construction projects throughout Vancouver and the Metro Vancouver area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:-

The Carpenter will perform the following duties:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material and project requirements.
- Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes and project specifications using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other construction materials.
- Build and install structural components as required, including framing, walls, roof components and other carpentry-related structures.
- Install and repair wood and other structural components used in residential and commercial construction.
- Fit and install trim items, including doors, mouldings, hardware, window components and exterior finishing materials.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial structures and their carpentry components.
- Install exterior siding systems, including Hardie board, Hardie panels and other exterior cladding materials.
- Install soffit, fascia, exterior trims and related exterior finishing components.
- Install and finish exterior components around windows and doors.
- Measure, cut and install flashing and related exterior building components around openings and exterior finishes.
- Perform exterior carpentry, finishing, renovation and repair work according to drawings and project specifications.




- Inspect completed carpentry and exterior work to ensure proper measurements, alignment, installation and workmanship.
- Operate carpentry hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow applicable building requirements, workplace safety procedures and construction-site policies.
- Coordinate work with other construction workers and trades as required.
- Supervise or provide guidance to other construction workers when required.

Employment Requirements:-
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant carpentry experience.
- Experience in residential or commercial carpentry and exterior construction is required.
- Experience installing siding, Hardie products, soffit, fascia, exterior trim, windows, doors and flashing is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape, assemble and install construction materials.
- Knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment and construction methods.
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights when required.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling construction materials and performing regular carpentry duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a construction team.

Compensation:- $32.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, for approximately 35–40 hours per week.
