Barista — Part-Time, Permanent

UB Social is looking for an experienced, reliable barista who loves great coffee, enjoys connecting with guests, and knows how to create a warm, memorable café experience. This is a permanent part time role in Toronto’s Junction, offering $17.60 per hour plus tips — typically more than $21 per hour with tips.

About the Role

As a barista at UB Social, you will prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks, serve guests with genuine care, and help create an inviting neighbourhood café experience. We are looking for someone who is punctual, professional, people-focused, and comfortable recommending products and completing sales with confidence.

What You’ll Do

· Create excellent beverages, including espresso-based drinks, with consistency and care.

· Provide friendly, attentive, and individualized service to every guest.

· Complete guest transactions using cash, debit, credit, and mobile app payments.

· Use product knowledge and sales skills to recommend coffee, food, and retail items.

· Maintain coffee and food freshness standards while helping control waste.

· Keep the café clean, organized, well stocked, and guest-ready.

· Follow safety, sanitation, and organization standards at all times.

· Arrive on time and maintain regular, consistent attendance.

What You Bring

· At least 2 years of barista experience; specialty coffee experience is strongly preferred.

· A genuine passion for coffee, hospitality,



and guest service.

· Strong people skills, with the ability to make guests feel welcomed and valued.

· Sales confidence and the ability to recommend products naturally and helpfully.

· Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.

· Integrity, kindness, and a positive attitude in every interaction.

· Pride in your work and the ability to represent the UB Social brand with energy and professionalism.

· Minimum 18 years of age.
