Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Trust Officer, you will create an exceptional client experience by providing superior service and a complete range of estate and trust solutions that meet client needs. You will achieve business results in partnership with the team by identifying, growing, and retaining a long-term profitable high-net-worth (HNW) portfolio of clients. We are a team committed to helping clients achieve peace of mind now and for the future.What will you do?Handle estate, trust, and protection mandate accountsCreate an exceptional client experience by providing superior service and comprehensive fiduciary solutions that meet the needs and goals of clientsDevelop proactive client contact strategies to ensure the broadening of the client relationship to the next generation and with RBC Wealth ManagementEnsure client strategic objectives are known and reviewed,
and a documented client action plan is set up customized to the client’s unique situationIdentify any referral opportunities to appropriate professionals across the RBC networkEnsure the process for obtaining current business is efficient and seamless for the client and their professional advisorsDemonstrate a commitment to taking ownership and accountability for efficient client problem resolutionResponsible for overall client relationship management and acting as the representative of the client portfolioAssist and mentor team members in achieving their potential through effective coaching, mentoring, communication, and training and development activitiesWhat do you need to succeed?Must‑have2-4 years of experience related to estates and trustsDemonstrated ability in managing complex family dynamics, the grieving process, and dealing with conflictAbility to communicate with clients about general investment, estate, financial, trust, and taxation issues, including economic conditionsStrong communication (written and verbal), as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across CanadaPossess or working towards Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designationNice‑to‑haveCanadian Securities Course (CSC)General knowledge of RBC products and servicesSolid foundation in values-based sellingWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
