Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic grass cutter to join our team on weekends. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of cemetery grounds by performing lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general upkeep. Your efforts will help create a respectful and serene environment for visitors and loved ones, ensuring the grounds remain well-kept, tidy, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

- Use hand tools and power tools to mow lawns, trim edges, prune shrubs, and perform detailed landscape maintenance
- Maintain cemetery grounds by removing debris, weeds, and ensuring pathways are transparent and safe for visitors
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas requiring additional maintenance or repair
- Assist with the upkeep of equipment through basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, sharpening blades, and checking tool functionality
- Follow safety protocols during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements

- Prior experience with gardening, horticulture,



or landscape maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shears, shovels, rakes, and other gardening implements confidently and safely
- Familiarity with power tools including trimmers, blowers, mowers, and irrigation systems is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for landscaping equipment and tools
- Excellent attention to detail with a respectful approach towards cemetery grounds and visitors
- Ability to follow instructions carefully while working independently or as part of a team
