Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and patient records efficiently
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to ensure precise imaging
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote lasting health benefits
- Maintain sterilization protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe clinical environment
- Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions,
fabricating retainers, and assisting with appliance adjustments
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless clinic operations and excellent patient experiences
Skills
- Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Proficiency in dental management software such as Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms for scheduling and record keeping
- Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and orthodontic appliances is highly desirable
- Robust communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate patient care effectively
- Ability to work confidently with pediatric patients, creating a friendly atmosphere for children undergoing dental treatment
- Knowledge of CAD technology for digital impressions and restorations enhances your versatility in the role
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
