As part of our Buildings division, you will contribute to meaningful projects across the region, from hospitals and schools to entertainment venues and multi-family residences.Senior Commercial Specialist – Buildings DivisionThe Senior Commercial Specialist reports functionally to the Commercial Director and works closely with project leadership. The role is accountable for providing contractual, financial, and commercial leadership to project teams during project execution. You will manage all contractual and commercial aspects of assigned projects (typically with annual revenues exceeding $25M), mentor commercial coordinators, and ensure disciplined contract administration, strong commercial performance, and successful project outcomes.ResponsibilitiesLead commercial and contract management for assigned projects, overseeing prime contracts, subcontracts, and commercial administration to ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and successful execution.Provide commercial and financial oversight by managing cash flow, revenue projections, cost control, forecasting, profit and loss reporting, and risk and opportunity positions throughout the project lifecycle.Support change management and claims by leading change order pricing and approvals, preparing and evaluating claims, resolving disputes,
and ensuring contractual entitlements are protected.Advise and support project teams by providing contractual, commercial, and financial guidance, ensuring compliant contract administration, and aligning execution with contract requirements.Build relationships and develop capability by working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, while mentoring commercial coordinators and supporting continuous improvement of commercial processes.Education and ExperienceEducation: Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degreepreferred.Experience: 10–15 years of construction experience, including 10+ years in commercial/contract management, supporting complex projects exceeding $25M in value.Skills & ToolsAdvanced expertise in construction contract administration, financial forecasting, cost control, change management, claims, and risk & opportunity management; solid negotiation skills and the ability to interpret contractual and legal language independently.CompensationSalary Range: $120,000 to $140,000 per annum.Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience.Flexible, comprehensive Health & Dental benefits plan designed to support your well‑being.Equal Employment OpportunityWe’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to an inclusive, accessible workplace.
