Electrical Manager

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Package
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Manager to join a well-established and growing construction and building services organisation. This role will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee multiple electrical projects across various sectors.
- Lead and support electrical supervisors, site managers, electricians, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme requirements, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
- Review specifications, drawings, and technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, health & safety legislation, and company standards.
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and progress reviews.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant,



and resources to maximise efficiency.
- Resolve technical and operational issues throughout project delivery.
- Support estimating and pre-construction teams where required.
- Carry out performance reviews and provide mentoring and development for team members.

Requirements

- Proven experience in an Electrical Manager, Electrical Contracts Manager, or Senior Electrical Supervisor position.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Excellent understanding of electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Experience managing multiple projects and site-based teams.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- ECS Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- First Aid qualification.
