We are a growing boutique law firm based in Vaughan, Ontario, with more than 35 years of experience representing Canadian financial institutions. Having doubled in size over the past year, we continue to expand and are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Law Clerk to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain civil litigation files, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with court deadlines
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motion materials, correspondence, and court forms
- Prepare and submit court filings electronically through Justice Services Online (JSO)
- Upload and organize hearing materials in CaseLines
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files
- Provide general administrative support, including file opening, document management, scanning, and electronic filing
- Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, counsel, and other stakeholders as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Law Clerk with exposure to Ontario civil litigation and Superior Court procedures.
- Strong legal drafting, document management, and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and court processes
- Experience with CaseLines,
Justice Services Online (JSO), and electronic document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team workplace
- Experience in mortgage enforcement litigation is considered a strong asset
Compensation Starting at $70,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
