Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating light commercial vehicles with trailer to transport goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role requires physical strength for heavy lifting and a strong focus on driving safety and compliance with transportation regulations.

This is a part time, casual position. Please do not apply if you need full time work.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate light trucks and trailer vehicles to deliver products to clients and distribution centers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during transit.




- Follow all federal, state, and company safety policies and procedures during operations.

Qualifications

- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 3 years proven experience in driving large or light trucks or similar heavy vehicles is required for insurance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for transportation.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Physical ability to handle long hours on the road and lift heavy loads when necessary.

Pay: $30.00-$48.00 per hour
