Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machine Setter/Operator and become a vital part of producing high-quality precision components. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines such as lathes and milling machines to ensure effective and accurate production. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with CNC programming will drive our manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and tooling before production runs
- Program CNC equipment using languages such as Mazatrol or Fanuc to meet specifications and optimize machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files created in SolidWorks or other CAD software to produce precise parts
- Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments like micrometers to verify dimensions during manufacturing
- Monitor machine operations during production runs, making adjustments as needed for quality and efficiency
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, improve workflow, and enhance overall productivity
- Assist with assembly processes when required, utilizing welding skills or other fabrication techniques
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or CNC milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in CNC programming using Mazatrol or Fanuc controls; familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and manufacturing standards for precision parts production
- Valid forklift certification is preferred for material handling within the shop floor
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement
