The ideal candidate will actively document participation, evaluate recreation programs, and maintain equipment. This position includes diverse shifts to accommodate community needs while ensuring a warm, supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote resident engagement through recreational activities
• Keep accurate records and documentation of care plans
• Assist with the ongoing evaluation of recreation services
• Maintain equipment and supplies in compliance with health standards
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
• Enrollment in a related post-secondary education program
• Experience with recreation services in a long-term care setting
• Adaptability to changing priorities in care
• Willingness to obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
