people)Supporting the training and coaching of a high‑performing team through the Arc’teryx Guest JourneyLeading by example, coaching in the moment, and empowering the team to self‑lead through development plans and training opportunitiesIdentifying and developing a store leadership talent pipeline in partnership with your Store ManagerManaging the entire employee experience from onboarding through offboarding (hiring, training, performance management, termination)Committing to and delivering bold objectives both in store and in the communityBuilding brand presence and guest loyalty by upholding our mission and valuesLeading floor leadership and exceptional guest experience, working from the floor five days a weekEmpowering the team to use their best judgement in all guest service mattersSupporting the Store Manager in all store operations, with focus areas assigned by the Store ManagerCollaborating with the Store Manager and Community Marketing Manager to execute store events that support the mission and drive trafficPartnering with the Store Manager to evaluate team needs quarterly to ensure staffing and development support the businessQualifications2‑3 years of leadership and retail management experienceDynamic leadership skills with the ability to recruit, hire, train, motivate, retain and develop future leadersEntrepreneurial spirit and continuous learning mindsetPassion for service and delivering an exceptional guest experienceProven financial acumen – budgeting, forecasting sales, gross margin, expense control, net profitAbility to set a clear vision,
align the team around common goals and foster commitmentBalance autonomy and collaboration effectivelyCommitment to doing what is right and seeking the best solutionsPassion for outdoor living and encouraging others to do the sameStrong written and verbal communicationExcellent time management and problem‑solving abilityProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to lift up to 30 lbExpectationsAll employees are expected to be available to work “Black Friday” (the day after US Thanksgiving) and from the second week of December until the end of the holiday season, as defined each year based on holiday merchandise return periods.Fully accountable for and oversee all deliverables on the Assistant Store Manager Role and Responsibilities document, and perform the responsibilities of the Product Guide and Lead as needed.Availability RequirementsSchedule may change at the discretion of the Store Manager and may include weekends, evenings, and mornings.Full time: 30‑40 hours per week (5 days per week)Contract dates: Summer 2026 – early 2027Compensation + PerksThis is a salaried position. The pay range is CAD$60,013‑75,000/year (midpoint $67,507/year).Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
