We are locally family owned steel service center seeking a skilled Plasma / Saw operator to join our processing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plasma cutting machines to fabricate high-quality components according to specifications as well as operating cnc saws. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to read blueprints.
Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30PM.
Overtime as needed.

- Operate and maintain plasma cutting machines / saws, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately.
- Utilize CAD software for programming and adjusting plasma cutting parameters.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Safely operate power tools, CNC machinery, and milling machines as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a p plasma Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software for programming plasma operations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using calipers and other measurement tools for quality assurance.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
