Job Summary

We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Collision Parts Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing collision parts to ensure timely and efficient repairs. Your expertise will help streamline our supply chain operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and support our commitment to quality service.

You will play a key role in coordinating procurement activities, maintaining accurate data entry, and leveraging your negotiation skills to optimize parts availability.

Responsibilities

- Source and procure collision repair parts from dealerships, manufacturers, aftermarket suppliers, recyclers, and other vendors while ensuring quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Place and track parts orders, follow up on backorders and delays, and coordinate deliveries to minimize repair downtime.
- Coordinate with dealerships, manufacturers, and vendors to fulfill parts requests promptly.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers to maximize value.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and other relevant tools.




- Coordinate with technicians and body repair staff to confirm that parts received are correct and complete before vehicles move through the repair process.
- Maintain accurate parts records, purchase orders, invoices, and order information within the shop's ERP, DMS, or inventory management systems.

Experience

- Proven experience working directly with auto body estimators, technicians, dealerships, OEM parts departments, aftermarket suppliers, and parts vendors.
- Proven experience in data entry, purchasing, or procurement roles within a supply chain environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle collision repair processes is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP, DMS, CMMS, inventory management, estimating, and demand planning systems is an asset.
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, online dealership parts portals, and vendor ordering platforms.
