Position SummaryA Carpenter II constructs, fabricates, installs, inspects, repairs and maintains a wide variety of structures and fixtures throughout City buildings, facilities and operations.ResponsibilitiesConstructs, fabricates, installs, inspects, repairs and maintains structures and fixtures in accordance with applicable building code requirements, safety standards, regulations, and safe work practices, and to required service and quality standards.Fabricates, repairs and modifies furniture and mill work.Designs and constructs custom furniture as required.Replaces, repairs and adjusts locking devices, hinges, security/panic hardware, door closures, and other hardware.Performs construction work involving wood and steel framing, roofing, concrete forms, door and window installations, interior trim, interior alterations, installation of T‑Bar ceilings, partitions and application of drywall.Builds fences utilizing survey pins and grade stakes to determine alignment and levels.Responds to emergency repairs including doors, windows, bridge guard rails and decking.Reads blueprints,
