Deployment Bid Technical LeadLocation: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)The Deployment Bid Technical Lead supports bid activities on behalf of the Solutions Deployment organization, coordinating with internal functions to secure new opportunities while meeting program duration, financial, and quality objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive deployment bid activities and manage all deployment milestones for the bid.Consolidate and review functional Solutions Deployment estimates including labour hours, risks, opportunities, assumptions, conditions of offer, and third‑party estimates.Support the Bid Manager through milestone meetings (BKO, BBR, BCR, BLR, BSR, CSR) and by preparing slides.Interface with customers to present or clarify solutions and attend workshops.Review and assess requirements.Prepare Installation Statement of Work for subcontractor quotations during the bid process.Develop scope split matrix for deployment activities.Organize estimate validation with various HODs prior to submission.Organize handover review of awarded bids with other functions, reviewing schedule, estimates, key assumptions, and deliverables.Liaise with other functions for project schedule development, technical solution feasibility, scope split responsibility, hardware list development, technical description document creation, compliance matrices, consolidated estimate,



and sign‑off sheet.Provide installation scope of works and migration plan (for brownfield opportunities).Key RequirementsUniversity graduate (Bachelor’s degree minimum) with an engineering or science background.At least 8 years of experience in the urban railway industry (specifically CBTC).At least 5 years of experience deploying a CBTC solution on a project.At least 2 years of experience working on bids and proposals.Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.Strong oral and written communication skills in English.Proven customer communication management skills.Work package management experience.Familiarity with requirement analysis tools (e.G., Polarion, DOORS).Excellent knowledge of current and legacy desktop publishing software (MS Suite, Visio, DOORS, Adobe Acrobat, JIRA).CompensationTotal Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive Plan): $128,282 – $164,725.BenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision plans – 100% company‑paid premiums.Retirement Savings Plan with company contribution and match, no vesting period.Company‑paid holidays – 3 weeks vacation, holiday closure, personal emergency leave days, and sick days.Maternity/Parental/Adoption top‑up pay.Annual Incentive Plan.Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance Program.EEO StatementAt Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
