The company operates 15 bakeries and employs approximately 4,000 associates across Canada, serving major grocery chains and retailers.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate training and onboarding for newly hired associates and act as culture ambassador to support a positive associate experienceCoordinate with business partners, including Supply Chain Leadership Team, Training Specialists, Safety, and Human Relations to ensure associates complete requirementsWork with the local management teams to create and manage training matrix for the location, including tracking completedPartner with the Operational Excellence team, Training and Engagement Supervisors, and the Supply Chain Leadership team to evaluate associate capabilities and provide clear feedback on skill proficiency and any additional training needsIdentify opportunities for improving training practices and make recommendations to Supply Chain Leadership teamSupport associate engagement and retention initiatives at the facilitiesCoordinate individual and group training events as neededMaintain documentation, including training logs, sign in sheets, and electronic signatures to verify training completion and ensure this information is loggedContinuous ImprovementPlay an active role in streamlining our training programs,



processes and tools to increase the impact on the associatesAct as a leader in promoting a strong safety and wellness culture by supporting and reinforcing programs, encouraging team engagement, and ensuring safe practices are consistently applied on the floorSupport and influence management decisions by sharing practical, field-based insights, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to solutions that enhance operations, safety, and team engagementCreate processes & procedures around repetitive tasks (Automation) to increase bandwidth on value added tasks/activitiesApproach all tasks with an open mind to help uncover new improvement opportunitiesBe a change agent for the adoption of new ways of working and in enabling our daily management processes with the people at the centerAdditional RequirementsLearn and understand the business, bakery requirements from Safety, Quality, Cost, Training & Engagement aspects as this is a cross functional role which needs to collaborate with different stakeholders at the same timeMust be knowledgeable and be able to follow GMPs, Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements and lead by exampleExperience & EducationThe successful candidate will possess a relevant post-secondary educationPrevious experience in a unionized food, dairy,



beverage or packaged goods industry is a definite assetSuperior communication skills in a multi-cultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of front-line industrial relations issuesTakes initiative, exercises good judgment in day-to-day business decisionsStrong leadership skills; be an active change agent at your sitesKnowledge of good labour/management practices including progressive discipline and positive reinforcement techniquesKnowledge of health and safety standards, regulations and best practicesThe flexibility to adapt to a 24-hour, 7-day operation scheduleCompensation: The annual salary range for applicants is $59,625 – $88,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive perks package.
