About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly organized and creative Sports Event Planner to manage the successful execution of sporting events in and around Kimberley . This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of various sporting competitions, tournaments, and community events. You will liaise with stakeholders, manage budgets, secure venues, arrange logistics, and ensure all events run smoothly, safely, and within budget. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a passion for sports, and the ability to manage complex projects with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring memorable experiences for participants and spectators. Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue selection, scheduling, and resource allocation. Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met. Liaise with sports organizations, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure seamless event operations.



Develop marketing and promotional plans to drive attendance and participation for events. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, permits, and insurance requirements. Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, troubleshooting issues as they arise on event days. Requirements

Proven experience in event planning, preferably with a focus on sports events. Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities. Familiarity with the requirements and logistics of various sports. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
