Closing Date: October 4, 2026Position Type: Permanent Compensation: $80,201 - $93,009 annuallyWork Location: Hybrid (On-site/Remote) We have an exciting prospect for a highly motivated Community Resource Specialist to join the Community & Social Development Team within the Community Planning Business Centre, Planning & Identity Sub-Division and Community Growth & Identity Division. This position reports to the Community & Social Development Team Leader and is responsible for such work as:

- Maintaining, creating and implementing neighbourhood and community development initiatives;
- Building relationships with local service providers to support a connected and cohesive community;
- Engaging and collaborating with residents, community agencies and other business centres to implement recommendations identified in municipal planning documents, including the social strategy;
- Working closely with partners to strengthen existing partnerships, and develop other social service, private sector and government partnerships;
- Designing community and neighbourhood initiatives using logic models and outcome measures to align with the preventative mandate of FCSS;
- Developing logic models, outcomes measures, indicators, and presentations.

What you Bring

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills,



and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is equivalency to completion of a University (Bachelor) program involving acquisition of an advanced understanding of complex concepts and procedures which is often recognized by a degree in a Human Services related field, plus:

- 3 or more years related work experience representing continuous learning;
- Strong knowledge of local and regional community resources and programs is considered an asset;
- Experience with outcomes data, data collection and reporting an asset;
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement and relationship building, including working collaboratively with residents, community agencies, service providers and partners to support community development initiatives.
- Experience planning, implementing and evaluating community or social development programs, including using outcome measures, indicators and data collection to assess results and inform continuous improvement.
- Strong advocacy, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, support inclusive participation and prepare clear written materials, reports and presentations.
