The team supports the preparation and delivery of complex therapies, including sterile IV medications, chemotherapy, and TPN, with a strong emphasis on quality, accuracy, and patient safety. Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialty pharmacy and gain hands-on experience in a highly specialized clean room environment.
You will play an important role in the preparation of sterile IV therapies, including antibiotics, chemotherapy, and TPN. You’ll work as part of a collaborative pharmacy team where accuracy, quality, and patient safety are at the centre of everything you do.
This role is ideal for someone with strong aseptic technique who enjoys detail-oriented work and is looking to build their experience within sterile compounding and specialty pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Compound sterile intravenous preparations,
including antibiotics, chemotherapy, and TPN.
- Pick, inspect, and verify production components against required documentation.
- Maintain clean room inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available for production.
- Follow established aseptic, line-clearance, quality assurance, and production procedures.
- Complete required validation, calibration, microbiological monitoring, and product inspections.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Label and package compounded products to maintain proper identification and product integrity.
- Support the cleaning and maintenance of clean room equipment and work surfaces.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience within a community, hospital, and/or pharmacy environment.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy technology and aseptic technique.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and computer proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable, including availability to work various shifts and areas as required.
