- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
- Install, configure and troubleshoot network switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points and related network equipment.
- Monitor network and system performance and identify connectivity or performance issues.
- Install and configure computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
- Perform network troubleshooting and provide technical support to users and customers.
- Perform network equipment upgrades, replacements and configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues.
- Maintain technical documentation relating to network configurations and installations.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support as required.
- Coordinate network access and use and assist with implementation of network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- College,
CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years in computer networking, information technology or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, switching, routing and wireless networking.
- Experience troubleshooting network hardware and connectivity issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- English language proficiency.
Schedule: Day, evening, early morning, night, weekend, flexible schedule and on-call work may be required. Benefits: Mileage paid, gasoline paid and night-shift premium where applicable.
