Lindsay YMCA and Community YPosition Type:Part-timeHours:3–5 hours per weekCompensation:$16.75/hourAbout the RoleReporting to the Cleaning Manager, the facility staff (full‑time contract) plays a vital role in ensuring that the YMCA facility is clean, safe, and welcoming for members, guests, and staff. This position includes general cleaning and minor maintenance tasks within the building, as well as upkeep of exterior areas including sidewalks and entryways.ResponsibilitiesDeliver the Y Way quality standards through the provision of a welcoming, inclusive, and positive member experience.Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the John W. Lindsay YMCA and Community Y, including gymnasiums, locker rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors to ensure they are clean and secure.Dust and wipe down surfaces including counters, tables, windowsills, and equipment.Disinfect high‑touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and restrooms.Clean and restock restrooms with required supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels).Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.G., changing light bulbs, addressing minor wear and tear) and report significant issues to the Cleaning Manager.Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs.Maintain exterior areas by clearing debris, litter, snow,
