Project Manager – Cold Storage & Food Processing Construction

Location: Vancouver, BC

Glacier West Construction has operated across Canada for more than 30 years. We are a trusted design-builder specializing in food processing, cold storage, distribution facilities, CNG/LNG conversions and institutional projects.

We provide complete construction delivery tailored to each client’s needs—from renovations and industrial tenant improvements to large-scale greenfield construction.

We’re growing and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Vancouver team. This is a newly created opportunity to support our expanding project portfolio.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams and will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution and financial performance of assigned projects.

This is a key leadership role in a technical, fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting and forecasting
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and site teams
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, food-grade requirements and applicable regulations
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and contract administration
- Monitor project costs, timelines, quality and overall performance
- Maintain solid communication with clients and project stakeholders
- Identify and resolve issues before they affect project delivery
- Support and provide direction to project coordinators and field teams

What We’re Looking For




- At least seven years of progressive construction project management experience
- Experience in industrial, cold storage, food processing or similar construction environments
- Proven ability to manage large, complex and fast-moving projects
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, mechanical systems and temperature-controlled building envelopes
- Strong financial, budgeting and contract-management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation abilities
- A highly organized, accountable and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to work in person from our Edmonton office
