Core Technician – Mining Exploration

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Core Technician to support daily drilling and geological operations for a mineral exploration program with Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. The Core Technician is responsible for handling, processing, organizing, and documenting drill core samples while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, transport, and organize drill core from active drill sites
- Measure, mark, photograph, and label drill core according to company procedures
- Assist geologists with core cutting, sampling, and packaging
- Maintain accurate sample records, core boxes, and inventory tracking
- Prepare samples for shipment to analytical laboratories
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and ensure work areas remain clean and secure
- Assist with drill site logistics, camp support, and field activities as required
- Follow all health, safety, environmental,



and company protocols

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in mineral exploration, drilling, construction, or field operations is considered an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working long rotations and flexible schedules
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work safely around equipment
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- First Aid, WHMIS, or other safety certifications are considered assets

Work Environment
- Rotational schedules may apply
- Work may involve extended periods outdoors and manual labor

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
